METHOD OF APPLICATION IN WATER PROOFING :

SURFACE PREPARATION:

• Prior to application of BULWARK RAIN TITE the surface must be prepared as mentioned below to avoid failure and to achieve maximum beneficial properties.
• When placing BULWARK RAIN TITE coating, water should be removed so that surface is only damp. In no case there should be standing water.
• The surface shall be cleaned to remove all dust, foreign matters, loose materials or any deposits of contamination which could affect the bond between the surface and the BULWARK RAIN TITE coating.
• New flat surface like sub-base concrete shall be made reasonably smooth so as not to impede the application of BULWARK RAIN TITE coating and to avoid sharp projections.
• All concrete surfaces shall be thoroughly pre-wetted prior to the application of BULWARK RAIN TITE coating by pouring water on flat surface or by spraying water on vertical/inclined surfaces.

APPLICATION:

• BULWARK RAIN TITE must be mixed with neat fresh opc cement in the ratio of 1:1.5:3 (RT:WATER: CEMENT) by weight. When you need low cost primer/base coat you can mix cement in the ratio of 1:2:3 (RT: WATER: CEMENT) by weight.
• The mix has to be stirred thoroughly until smooth homogeneous slurry is obtained. Wait for 1-2 minutes to release entrapped air bubbles.
• Any lump found in the mix should be removed or mixed thoroughly. The mix has to be applied by brush specially made spray.
• Two are recommended one more coat can be done to achieve desired thickness.
• First coat should be allowed to air dry for 3-4 hours prior to apply subsequent coat.

PRECAUTIONS:

• BULWARK RAIN TITE system must be applied with temperature above 5⁰ C and below 40⁰ C.
• BULWARK RAIN TITE should not be used without addition of cement.

STORAGE:

• Store in dry cool place in the temperature range from 5⁰C to 30⁰C in sealed condition.
• Do not allow to freeze. Keep away from direct sunlight.

• 1kg,10 Kg,20 Kg, 100Kg and 200kg HDPE plastic container.

COVERING CAPACITY:

• BULWARK RAIN TITE will give following coverage in below mentioned surface
• Coverage will vary based on mixing ratio, surface, Brush type and workmanship.
• Adding more water may give more coverage but definitely affect the quality.
• To achieve desired thickness along with good coverage better use appropriate level of water i.e. Not more than 70% of the BULWARK RAIN TITE weight.
